Thank God for the Rain
It’s been so hot lately and I think I’m not the only one who’s been waiting for a heavy rainfall and gladly, we had one this afternoon. It was gloomy when I woke up from my nap and I thought it’s just one of those gloomy days again but it wasn’t. The rain fell a few minutes after I woke and it just made me happy. It’s a little cooler now.
It’s still gloomy now but the rain had stopped. I do believe it will rain again later tonight. I really hope so so that I will have a good night sleep again. It’s always conducive to sleep whenever it rains right?
A Cover Up
I have this friend of mine whom I met just about four years ago whom I really like from the start. She seems always happy and jolly. Smiling to everyone she sees and laughs to even the corniest joke. But little did I know, those smiles were just to cover up what she’s been going through. And I found out about it eventually when we already got a bit close and she opened up about her life. I admire her for that though in a way I consider it a bit hypocritical. Maybe because I am not the type. I am so transparent that everybody who knows me would know if I am in a mood or if I have problems.
Such attitude of her got me into thinking too that maybe, she will do the same towards me like she will still smile even if she already feels ill towards me or something. Something that is hard to comprehend since she covers up what she really feels. You know what I mean. And guess what, I wasn’t wrong. There were instances actually that I learned from common friends of what she’s been telling. Oh well, it’s her choice but she’s still a friend of mine until now. But a friend that is not trustworthy at all, no doubt.
Home Alone
The home is so quiet and peaceful. I could have opened the sounds if I wanted to or the television perhaps but I chose not to. I’ve been alone since 1 o’clock in the afternoon and I so love the feeling. The calmness of the place is just making me feel good. This only happens sometimes because more often than not, the backyard is so noisy with all the equipments and tools running. I did hear the grinder grinding earlier but I do wonder why it’s silent now. Maybe the workers are having their break.
Anyway, I am a little sleepy but I opted to write and update my blogs. It’s been a while since I did my last update. I have been busy and my schedule has just been hectic because classes started last week. Glad I got the chance today. I have the house all for myself as well as the PC. Yepper!
Good News and Sad News…
…from a friend, that is. A friend who is now based in London and is currently working as a nurse. We were chatting on Facebook a few moments ago and she’s got good news. Her husband’s dependent visa was approved. She’s been working in London for many years now and though she did visit her family a couple of times, still I know, it’s not enough time spent. I’m really happy that they will be together soon.
And the bad news! We talked last month because she was supposed to be here in July to attend her father’s wedding. We were already planning our get-together but unfortunately, she got sick and her GP won’t allow her to travel because she’s not fit to do so. The news made me sad because I’m really excited to see her but oh well, maybe I’ll just see her next year because her travel was moved next year.
I’ll see you then, friend! Get well soon! (“,)
Internet Connection Problems
It started around early afternoon yesterday, the connection is so slow and it disconnects from time to time. At first, the interval of the disconnection runs from two to three minutes. Later on, it got worse and the interval was only in seconds. It really sucks especially that I have important documents to e-mail to our clients. I actually thought that I won’t be able to talk to my fiance on Skype last night but fortunately, Skype wasn’t affected. That was surprising since I couldn’t open Yahoomail or Facebook.
Anyway, after my fiance’ and I parted last night, I thought the internet connection will be back to normal when I get up in the morning. But much to my dismay, it’s still the same. I was hoping it would at least get a little better around midday but nothing happened. So I finally called their hotline number around noon and reported the technical failures. I know it has something to do with their system because my niece who also has the same internet provider was also experiencing the same problem since yesterday.
It’s now past 3 o’clock in the afternoon and the connection is now getting much better. I’ve talked to their technician about twenty minutes ago and he admitted that they really had problems since yesterday but they’re getting back on the track now. Great!
