When He’s Playing, He’s No Can Hear
My son was complaining of being hungry a few minutes ago so I prepared him some noodles. As soon as they were cooked, I called him but no response. I called him a few more times until I gave up and decided to go to his bedroom.
And guess why there was no reply? He was wearing his ps3 headset while playing his ps3. Oh well! I didn’t need to tell him once he saw me. He knew why I was there and he got up immediately. I should have known. I wouldn’t have wasted my voice eh!
Beware, Y’all, I’ll Soon Be on the Road!
Our day was spent looking for my first car. Yep, I will be taking my learner’s permit exam soon and after that, I will start practicing, thus, I need me a car. And you know what? I was surprised of how pricey the cars can be. Well, what else is new? As my husband always tells me, everything here in the land of Uncle Sam is expensive. Not all, I know. He was just being facetious about things.
I know there are some things that are worth the price like that of louisville ky real estate, but even though how cheap one thing is, if you don’t have enough money to buy , then it is expensive. Am I making sense here? I hope so.
Crab Mentality
“Crab mentality basically means how people bring you down just to get themselves to the top. This entails bad rumors and gossip against you that will cause others to think you are opposite of who you really are. Once a “crab” pulls you in, it will be hard to get back up.”
I quoted that paragraph which I found online because people with this mentality never fails to annoy and irritate me. I do wonder sometimes how come there are people like that. Why can’t they just be happy for someone else’s achievements, success and even happiness.
What saddens me the most is these people are the people whom I thought would be the first ones to be happy for me, but unfortunately, it was the other way around. But I did tell myself to just ignore these people. I won’t get anything from it after all. If they have problems with me, then so be it. It’s their problem not mine.
Wonderful Water Makes My Plants Smile
Since the time we started our flower garden, my husband did the watering. He loves doing it. But yesterday, he was busy with mowing the yard so I watered the plants myself.
It is such an easy job. With the use of a water hose – or is that what you call a hydraulic hose? – the job was a piece cake. Of course I used to water my mom’s flower garden back home, but with our garden situated on a hilly area, I thought walking to it while pulling the hose would be difficult; glad it wasn’t. I will be watering them again today and I guess, in the coming days too, or make that, forever. Hee hee.
Ol’ Man Winter Deserted Us
Winter is almost over and although I am happy that we had a mild winter – no heavy snow at all – still, how we wished we could have gotten one good snowstorm. The kids enjoyed sledding last winter, and it was something that they never got to enjoy this year.
I bought my son a new pair of snow pants, but he never got to use them. I actually was thinking of buying my husband a burton snowboards jacket and I am glad I didn’t because he would have never got to use it.
Oh well, maybe next winter.
