And I Chose To Walk Away
“I learned the hard way that I cannot always count on others to respect my feelings, even if I respect theirs. Being a good person doesn’t guarantee that others will be good people too. You only have control over yourself and how you choose to be as a person. As for others, you can only choose to accept them or walk away.”
Yes, I chose to walk away. For me, life is short to waste your time on people who suck the happiness out of you. Time is precious after all. My principle is…I would rather be alone than to have a bad companion. Besides, happiness is not being around a lot of people anyway. It is being around the real ones. Am I not right?
Judgmental People…Read!
Another friend posted this on his Facebook wall today and just like previously, I can’t help myself from sharing it here because it is so true.
I don’t hate, but there are surely certain people that I despise. And those are the people who feel so great about themselves. They judge people on what they see without even knowing them first. They judge like they are perfect individuals when the truth is, they also have a lot of flaws. Pretenders…that’s what they are. Hypocrites, if I may add.
And you know what? I am surrounded with those kinds of species here in our little domain. But what I did? I just ignored them and will continue to ignore them. They are fooling nobody but themselves. Pitiful!
Here You Go
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” – Winston Churchill
And ain’t that true? A good friend posted it on Facebook yesterday and I commented jokingly saying: “You bet. That’s why when somebody gives me an attitude, I do the same. Haha.”
In a way I was joking, but you know what? I actually did that before. And guess what it did? It tamed the individual who was giving me an attitude. Now she is all smiles whenever she sees me. Although I see hypocrisy in those smiles, at least, she didn’t raise her eyebrows like she used to. Bahahaha!
Quote of the Day
I love reading and sharing quotes. And yesterday, this was the one that I posted on my Facebook account. What can you say about this? So true, isn’t it? There are times that certain people simply doesn’t practice what they preach, and for me, it is definitely annoying. But it is their prerogative, so I will let them be. That’s how they wanted to live their life. So be it!
“I have long since come to believe that people never mean half of what they say, and that it is best to disregard their talk and judge only their actions.” – Dorothy Day
I Know One When I See One
I guess you’ve already heard of this phrase many a time. I did and this is not the first time that I’ve said or used this.
It never fails. People who are trying to pretend they’re somebody they’re not simply annoys me. Like they think I am dumb not to notice the difference. Like…Hello people! Wake up!
Get real! If you can’t be true to yourself, then just keep quiet and refrain from saying anything. I would rather not hear anything from you than hear you say insincere things. Insincerity and hypocrisy and definitely amongst the few things that irritates me. So, please! Get real!
